These plates by the French faience Manufacture of Choisy-le-Roi are decorated with several different interesting sepia and blue prints of algae and sailfishes are on the plates. This set is perfect for sea or sailfish lovers! You will enjoy the sea view with nice sailing ship.

Composition of the set and dimensions:

- 46 dinner plates: Diameter 23.5 cm

- 11 deep plates: Diameter 23 cm

Signed beneath "Terre de Fer, HB & Cie". All in good condition, one deep plate is cracked on the back, but not visible in front (see the last picture).

Choisy-le-Roi manufactory was created in 1805 by the Paillart Brothers. Specialized in "faience fine", this manufactory became very famous throughout the 19th century especially when Hippolyte Boulenger was its director from 1863. He gave the name H. Boulenger & Cie, to the firm, visible on the manufactory stamp. The manufactory won several awards during the Universal Exhibitions.
